Hello!
I am Alexander Trifonov, a Finland-based independent researcher ethnogenealogist specializing in Russian ancestral origins and the author of the Deep Root Mapping method.
I hold a degree in History from the Russian State University for the Humanities, with a specialization in source studies and document studies. This means that I am well-versed in the corpus of sources related to Russian history and trained in the critical analysis of historical documents, including those commonly used in genealogical research: such as parish registers, census records and other archival materials.
I have participated in ethnographic expeditions to the Russian North, in regions inhabited by Finno-Ugric peoples of central and northwestern Russia and others. For over 25 years, I have been studying the complex ethnic composition of what is today referred to as the Russian people.
This topic is deeply personal to me, as part of my own ancestry traces back to the Meshchera, a Finno-Ugric people that was fully assimilated by Russian state only in the 20th century. This is not just a field of study for me, but a profound part of my own identity and life journey.
I have over 25 years of experience in journalism and various media fields. I am skilled in quickly and effectively processing and analyzing diverse information, and in producing high-quality written content based on it.
